How Many Game Modes In League Of Legend

League of legend has several available game modes, with varying game duration and level of competition. Each has its own distinct characteristics, maps and strategy.

Modes that last forever is:

  • Classic - Classic Mode refers to the two Fields of Justice, Summoner's Rift and Twisted Treeline. This category was added upon the release of Dominion. Each map has its own unique mechanics and playstyles.

  • Dominion - Dominion (or League of Legends: Dominion) is a game mode in League of Legends. Champions battle in a 5v5 format on a map called the Crystal Scar.

  • ARAM - ARAM, the acronym for All Random All Mid, is a supported PvP game mode in League of Legends. Upon entering champion selection, ten summoners, five on each team, randomly summon a champion from their available pool of champions. They are allowed to "reroll" their champion, based upon reroll points, which are gained by both playing ARAM games and having a diverse champion pool. Players may also try to trade with teammates if both players have both champions available to them, whether through purchase or the current weekly champion rotation.

Modes that got release just for a while is:

  • Ascension - Ascension is a temporary game mode for the Shuriman event available from September 10th to 25th, 2014. It is exclusive to the Crystal Scar.

ObjectiveThe first team to 200 points wins:
Killing enemy champions earns 1 point.
If a killer is Ascended, 2 points are earned.
Claiming Relics of Shurima earns 3 points each.
Killing an Ascended Champion will earn 5 points for the killing team.
Killing The Ancient Ascendant: Xerath earns 10 points.

  • Doom Bots - The Doom Bots of Doom, also known as Nightmare mode, is a Featured Game Mode for League of Legends. The first featured mode to utilize bots, this is Co-op vs. AI with a twist: each bots has mutated, granting them empowered abilities. On higher difficulties, Doom Bots will mutate further over the course of the game - picking up the abilities of other champions, alongside their own.

  • Hexakill - Hexakill is a new gamemode that was playable by Beta testers on the 25th of January, 2014 on the Public Beta servers, that is played on Summoner's Rift with six players on each team instead of the regular five.

  • One For All - One for All was a limited time game mode in League of Legends. Players battle in a 5v5 match in Summoner's Rift map similar to Classic mode, with the only different being that all champions on each team are the same. One for All games can also be created and played as a Custom Game, and the map choice is not limited to Summoner's Rift; all other maps can be chosen.

  • Ultra Rapid Fire - Ultra Rapid Fire (URF) is a game mode for April Fools' day 2014. It is exclusively on Summoner's Rift for both Normal Game and Co-op vs. AI. It also introduces a new game type called "Blind Draft" where 3 champs are banned by both teams, then blind pick commences.
